Vicky's Story
In 1998, Vicky was diagnosed with an ovarian tumor which had quickly grown into the size of a small football when operated. Luckily she was able to come out of the operation with no sign of cancer. Her body was able to keep the one rebellious cell from damaging other healthy cells. She credited her good fortune to her healthy diet and the regular use of reichi or ling-chi mushroom for strengthening her immune function.
During her hospital stay, she has found that western hospital foods are not nutritious enough and are not suitable for helping patients to recover quickly. Her own recovery was remarkably fast and easy because of the healing and rejuvenating food prepared for her by her family.

Vicky was back on the hiking trail shortly after the operation
All these experiences had made her realized how lucky she was for having good food knowledge to manage her health. She believes such knowledge is most needed for people suffering from chronic illnesses due to wrong diet and over consumption of pharmaceutical drugs. She then ended her career in IT and took on the mission to promote Food Therapy. Her work is basing on the tried-and-true knowledge from Chinese Food Therapy and combining it with the latest research findings from western medical science. Her recipes and treatment programs for common health problems are effective and easy to follow by average people with little culinary skill.
