Dang Shen and Oyster Soup

 

SYMPTOMS:

Blood deficiency due to prolonged sickness or bleeding or heavy menstrual flow, pale, palpitation, and coarse skin.

THERAPEUTIC EFFECTS:

Nourish yin and promote blood, improve skin and complexion, strengthen spleen and benefit qi, improve appetite.

INGREDIENTS: (1 TO 2 SERVINGS)

  • Dang seng 黨參 - 40gm
  • Oyster (without shell) - 320gm
  • Lean pork - 120gm
  • Ginger - 4 slices

1.   Wash oyster with salt and put in boiling water for 2 minutes, remove and drain

2.   Wash and cut pork into big pieces and put in boiling water to cook for 5 minutes.

3.   Rinse herbs. Put all ingredients in a soup pot with about 8 cups of water and bring to a boil. Remove foam and reduce heat to simmer for 2 hours.

4.   Add seasoning to serve. Eat content with soup.

USAGE:

Not suitable when having diarrhea.
