American Ginseng and Pork Soup 

SYMPTOMS

Lack of appetite after chemotherapy, lack of energy and profuse perspiration, insufficient white blood cells.

THERAPEUTIC EFFECTS:

Treat adverse side effects after chemotherapy, clear heat, quench thirst, Improve energy and tonify spleen.

INGREDIENTS:

  •       American ginseng 西洋參- 32gm
  •       Lean pork 瘦肉- 640gm

1.   Rinse pork, cut into large pieces and put in boiling water to cook for 5 minutes, remove and rinse.

2.    Rinse ginseng and soak them in one cup of warm water for about 30 minutes. Cut ginseng into smaller piece and put them together with the water in a pot.

3.   Add pork and add more water (about 6 cups) and bring to boil. Remove foam, reduce heat to simmer for 2 hours to about 2 cups of soup.

4.   Add salt to serve and drink soup only.

USAGE:

Not suitable when stomach is suffering from cold damp syndrome.
