Watercress, Lo-han quo and Pork Soup

SYMPTOMS:  

Dry mouth and sore throat, hot temper.

THERAPEUTIC EFFECTS:   

Clear heat, soothe throat, clear toxin, promote vital fluid.

INGREDIENTS: (2 to 3 servings)    

  • Watercress 西洋菜 - 640gm
  • Lo-han quo 羅漢果 – half
  • Pork bones - 320gm
  • Apricto kernel 南北杏 - 15 gm
  • Citrus peel 陳皮 (pre-soaked and with white tissue removed) - one piece
  • Honey dates & dried figs  蜜棗/ 無花果 - 2 each

1.   Wash bones and put in boiling water to cook for 5 minutes. Remove and rinse.

2.   Put bones in a pot with 3 litres of water and bring to boil, remove foam and let it cook over medium heat for one hour. Then add watercress and lo-han quo and other ingredients to cook for another hour to about 3 to 4 cups of soup. Add water to cooking if necessary.

3.   Add salt to serve. Eat watercress with soup.

USAGE:     

No limitation. Good for the whole family for regular maintenance.
