Pine Nut Congee


Constipation due to lack of energy especially for seniors, or stool is too hard and is taking too much energy to pass them out, or chronic constipation.


Lubricate lung and large intestine, promote fluid and softening stool.


  • Pine nut  松子仁 – 30gm
  • Dried figs 無花果 – 4
  • Rice 白米 – 60gm

1.   Rinse figs and cut into smaller pieces.

2.   Rinse nuts and rice.

3.   Put all ingredients in a pot with enough water (about 5 cups) and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and cook for about 30 minutes into a soft congee.

4.   Eat with meal.


No restriction. Also suitable for people with lung heat and dry cough.
