Corn and Oyster Shell Soup


Diabetes with low blood pressure.


Lower blood sugar and regulate low blood pressure, benefit yin.


  • Corn with corn silk - 2
  • Chinese yam (shan yao) 淮山 - 40gm
  • Astragalus (huang qi) 黃耆 - 20gm
  • Oyster shell (mu li) 牡蠣 - 40gm

1.    Break oyster shell into smaller pieces.

2.    Wash corn and corn silk. Cut corn into small sections.

2.   Rinse herbs and put all ingredients in a pot with about 5 to 6 cups of water.

3.   Bring to a boil and lower heat to medium low and cook until one cup of water left (about 1 hour).

4.   Drink soup only.


Not suitable for people with high blood pressure.
