Snow-ear Mushroom and Gingko Dessert

SYMPTOMS:

Excess liver heat causing sensitive skin and skin eruption, stomach problems, high cholesterol and high blood pressure.

THERAPEUTIC EFFECTS:

Lower blood pressure and cholesterol, balance blood and nourish stomach, moisture skin and improve complexion.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Snow ear mushroom 雪耳- 16gm
  • Gingko seed 白果- 12
  • Pitted red dates 紅棗- 6
  • Rock sugar – to taste

1.   Soak snow-ear mushroom for about 20 minutes until soft. Rinse and separate into smaller pieces.

2.   Remove shell, membrane and kernel of gingko seeds.

3.   Rinse dates and put all ingredients in a pot with adequate water (about 4 cups) and cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes to one cup of soup.

4.   Add sugar to taste and serve as desert.

USAGE:

Take once or twice a week. Do not consume more than 12 gingko seeds per day.
