Job's Tears, Gingko and Pig Bladder Soup

SYMPTOMS:  

Difficulty in passing water, too much or too little urine, hot and painful sensation during urination.

THERAPEUTIC EFFECTS:  

Promote diuresis and invigorate the spleen, relieve dampness obstruction, clear away heat, treat scanty and painful urination.

INGREDIENTS: (2 Servings)

  • Job's tears (yi yi ren) 薏以仁 - 60gm
  • Gingko (ying xing) 銀杏/白果 - 8
  • Pig bladder 豬小肚 - 2

1.   Wash pig bladders thoroughly with salt for a few times and cut it into a few pieces.  Put bladders in boiling water to cook for 5 minutes. Remove and rinse.

2.   Remove shell and membrane of ginkgo. Cut into halves and remove green/white seed in the middle.

3.   Rinse job tears and put all ingredients in a soup pot with about 6 cups of water. Bring to a boil, remove foam and reduce heat to medium to cook to 2 cups of soup.

4.   Add salt to serve and drink soup only.

USAGE:  

Drink soup warm by 2 servings with half an hour apart. Repeat recipe once or twice on following days for complete cure.
