Abrus Cantoniensis & Pig Liver Soup


Hepatitis C with yellow skin and bitter taste in the mouth or chronic liver problems.


Clear liver heat, expel liver toxin and promote normal liver health.

INGREDIENTS: (2 servings)

  • Abrus Cantoniensis 雞骨草 – 30gm
  • Job's Tears / Coix Lacryma-Jobi (yi yi ren) 薏以仁/苡米 – 60gm
  • Pig liver 豬肝 -  360gm
  • Red dates 紅棗 - 6
  • Ginger - 3 slices
  • Citrus peel 陳皮 - one piece (pre-soaked and with white tissue removed)

1.   Wash liver and cut into thin pieces. Soak liver in water for 10 minutes and rinse.

2.   Rinse herbs and put all ingredients in a soup pot with about 10 cups of water. Bring to a boil, remove foam and reduce heat to medium and cook for 2.5 hours to 2 cups of soup.

3.   Add a little salt to serve and drink soup only.


No restriction. Take regularly until symptoms have improved.
