Clear Liver Heat Pork Soup


Cholelithiasis or cholecystitis with dampness-heat syndrome; infectious hepatitis; bitter taste in the month; deep yellowish urine.


Clear liver heat and detoxify; promote blood and benefit liver; relief thirst and uneasiness.


  • Abrus Cantoniensis Hance (ji gu cao) 雞骨草- 80gm
  • Pitted Red Dates 紅棗 - 6
  • Lean pork - 240gm
  • Citrus peel 陳皮 - one piece (pre-soaked and with white tissue removed)


1.    Wash pork and cut into a few pieces.

2.   Rinse other ingredients Put all ingredients in a pot with 8 cups of water. Bring to a boil, remove foam, reduce heat and cook over medium heat for 2 hours to about two cups of soup.

 3.  Add salt to taste and drink soup onlly.


Serve with meal with no restriction.
