Soy Bean Sprout and Pork Rib Soup


Weakened bones.


High in calcium to promote building of bone.


  • Soy bean sprout 大豆芽 – 60gm
  • Soy bean黃豆 – 60gm
  • Dried shitake mushroom 冬菇 – 60gm
  • Dried shrimp  蝦米 – 60gm
  • Pork spinal bone 豬脊骨 – 360gm (chopped into pieces)
  • Garlic – 3 cloves
  • Fresh chilly pepper - one

1.   Wash bone and put in boiling water to cook for 5 minutes, remove and rinse.

2.   Soak mushroom for 30 minutes and rinse. Rinse shrimp, soy bean and bean sprout.

3.   Slightly smash garlic and cut chilly pepper into slices. Put them with one spoon of oil to stir-dry in a pan for 2 to 3 minutes. Add shrimp and mushroom and stir-fry for another 5 minutes. Sprinkle in one spoon of cooking wine and transfer the cooking to a soup pot with about 3 litres of water.

4.    Add bones and bean sprout and bring to a boil, remove foam and reduce heat to cook over medium heat to about 2 cups of soup left.

5.    Season to serve, eat some content with soup.
