Papaya, Dried Octopus and Pig Trotter Soup

SYMPTOMS:

Not enough milk for breast-feeding after childbirth.

THERAPEUTIC EFFECTS:

Promote the production of milk and strengthen the body.

INGREDIENTS: (2 servings)

  • Pig front trotter 豬腳 - 2 (chopped)
  • Papaya (green) - one
  • Dried octopus 章魚乾 - 160gm
  • Ginger - 80gm
  • Peanut - 80gm
  • Dang shen 黨參 - 20gm
  • Longan fruit 龍眼肉 - 8gm
  • Chinese cooking wine

1.   Wash pig trotter and put in boiling water to cook for 5 minutes, remove and rinse.

2.   Peel, seed and cut papaya into one inch cubes.

3.   Rinse herbs and put all ingredients in a soup pot with about 10 to 12  cups of water and bring to a boil. Remove foam and reduce heat to simmer for over 2 hours to about 2 cups of soup. 

4.   Add 2 spoons of cooking wine and salt to serve. Eat some content with soup.
