Lotus Root, Red Bean and Pork/Beef Hock Soup


Deficiency of blood with pale complexion, rough skin, tiredness and menstrual disorder in women.


Enrich blood and improve complexion, strengthen body and improve energy, prevent pre-matured aging.


  • Lotus root 蓮藕 - 640gm
  • Red bean 紅豆 - 160gm
  • Citrus peel 陳皮 - one small piece (soaked and scrapped off white tissue)
  • Beef or pork hock 牛/ 豬展 - 320gm

1.  Wash lotus root, remove knots and cut into pieces.

2.  Wash beef/pork hock, cut into big pieces and put in boiling water to boil for a few minutes. Remove and rinse.

3.  Rinse other ingredients and put all in a soup pot with adequate water (about 3 liters). Bring to a boil, remove foam, reduce heat and simmer for 3 hours.

4.  Add salt to serve. Eat some content with soup.


Not suitable for people with too much internal heat with symptoms such as headache, toothache or acne.
