Toxins are a fact of life, but taking proactive actions to expel them and not allowing them to accumulate in our body can make a big difference. The best approach to detoxify is to eat fresh clean food with high fiber and antioxidant content, drinking plenty of good clean water to flush the system and passing bowel at least once or twice daily. Exercising and taking sauna bath occasionally are all effective in helping the body to expel toxins through sweating.

Eating foods such as carrot, pumpkin, garlic, seaweed, green tea and foods with high vitamin C content such as oranges, lemon, leafy green vegetables, water chestnuts, etc. are excellent in cleaning out heavy metals from our body such as lead. Blueberry is high in anti-oxidant but purple or black glutinous rice is even higher in vitamin E and anti-oxidants. 

To get the most disease-fighting antioxidants from fruits and vegetables, choose those with color; usually the deeper the color, the more antioxidants. Also fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables have more antioxidants than those that are canned, processed or heated.

A Natural Detoxification Program

Use frequently, a week at a time or up to a few weeks if you are fighting more serious health problems.

Breakfast (6:30 to 7:30 a.m.)

  • 1 fruit – local and seasonal
  • 1 glass of juice with choice of 2 vegetables – root (carrot, turnip, yam, burdock), stem (celery, cauliflower, lettuce), fruit (cucumber, bitter melon, green pepper, tomato), no sprout except soybean sprout or green been sprout, no leafy green.
  • 1 Yellow Sweet potato – roasted with skin
  • 1 bowl of Porridge – job’s tears, red beans, red dates, lotus seeds and wolf-berries.

Lunch & Dinner

  • 50 – 60%  - whole grain rice
  • 23 – 30%  - vegetables (1/2 uncooked)
  • 10 – 15% - beans
  • 5 – 10%  -  soup (with seaweed and kelp)

Between Meals Snacks one whole fruit with skin.


  • for people with chronic illness – sleep before 9 p.m.
  • for others – sleep before 11 p.m.

Avoid all meat, fish, egg, dairy products, oil, salt, sugar, soy sauce, refined food, coffee, wine and iced products.

Booster (vegetable enzymes)

  • First week – one table spoon per hour up to 16 spoons a day.
  • Second week – one table spoon every 2 hours up to 8 spoons
  • Third week & after – two spoons after each meal.

Water -  Good clean water 3,000 c.c. and above. (PH 7.6 to 8.0, with rich minerals and oxygen, do not boil)

Fiber -   Daily fiber intake 30-35g

Symptoms -  It will get worse before getting better
