Snow-ear Mushroom Desserts

For promoting vital fluids, smooth skin and improve complexion.

Snow-ear Mushroom with Coconut Milk

INGREDIENTS: (per serving)

  • Snow-ear mushroom 白木耳 ( 雪耳- 20gm
  • Coconut milk - 椰浆80ml
  • Milk - 20gm
  • Sugar - 10gm or to taste
  • Water - 40cc

1.   Soak mushroom until soft (about 30 minutes), remove stem, separate into pieces and rinse.

2.   Put water and coconut milk in a pot and bring to slow boil. Put mushroom in to cook until become softer (about 10 minutes).

3.   Add sugar. Add milk, bring to slow boil and remove from heat to serve.    

 

Snow-ear Mushroom with Red Beans & Lotus Seeds

INGREDIENTS: (per serving)

  • Snow-ear mushroom 白木耳 ( 雪耳) - 20gm
  • Red Beans 红豆 - 20gm
  • Lotus Seeds 莲子 –25 gm
  • Red dates 红枣 – 4
  • Sugar - 15gm or to taste
  • Water - 180cc

1.   Soak mushroom until soft (about 30 minutes), remove stem, separate into pieces and rinse. 

2.   Pre-soak red beans, lotus seeds and dates for a couple of hours and rinse. Cook them with water over medium heat until soft (about 30 minutes).  Add sugar to taste.

3.   Add mushroom to cook for another 10 to 15 minutes (add water if necessary).

 

Snow-ear Mushroom with Apricot Kernels

INGREDIENTS:

  • Snow-ear Mushroom 白木耳 ( 雪耳) - 20gm
  • Southern Apricot Kernel 南 杏 – 160gm
  • Northern Apricot Kernel 北 杏 -  30gm
  • Sticky rice 糯 米 – 30gm
  • Sugar -15g or to taste
  • Water - 150cc

1.   Soak apricot kernels and rice for 2 hours, strain and put in a grinder to grind into a thick fine paste. Filter out any big pieces and keep aside.

2.   Soak mushroom until soft (about 30 minutes), remove stem, separate into pieces and rinse. 

3.   Cook mushroom with water for 10 to 15 minutes. Add sugar to taste.

4.   Add apricot paste to the cooking and stir until cook and serve.
