Dangshen, Astragalus and Beef Tenderloin Soup


Anemic and pale looking.


Promote blood and energy.

INGREDIENTS: (2 servings)

  • Dangshen (dang shen) 黨參 – 30gm
  • Astragalus (huang qi) 黃耆 – 30gm
  • Beef Tenderloin – 250gm
  • Ginger – 2 slices
  • Honey Dates 蜜棗 - 5 to 6

1.   Wash beef and cut into large pieces. Put in boiling water to cook for a few minutes. Remove and rinse.

2.   Soak herbs for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse.

3.   Put all ingredients in a soup pot with about 10 cups of water. Bring to boil, remove foam and reduce heat to simmer for over 2 hours to about 2 to 3 cups of water left (add boiling water to the cooking if necessary).

4.   Season with salt to serve. Take soup with some meat.


Not suitable when having cold or flu.
