Mulberry, Peanut and Soybean Soup

SYMPTOMS:

General weakness of blood and qi deficiency.

THERAPEUTIC EFFECTS:

Nourish yin and enrich blood, improve qi and energy.

INGREDIENTS: (2 SERVINGS)

  • Mulberry (sang shen) 桑椹子 - 40gm
  • Peanut (with red membrane) - 120gm
  • Soybean - 120gm
  • Honey dates  - 2
  • Citrus peel (chen-pi) 陳皮 - one small piece (soaked and with white tissue scraped and removed)

 

1.     Soak soybeans for a few hours.

2.     Rinse mulberries and put inside a gauze bag. Rinse other ingredients.

3.     Put all ingredients in a pot with adequate water (about 6 cups). Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until peanuts and soybeans are soft and with about 2 cups of water left.

4.     Remove gauze bag and add salt to serve.

5.     Drink soup and eat some nuts and beans.

USAGE:

Suitable for all ages.
