Herbal Lamb Stomach Soup


Weak, lack of energy, lack of appetite and profuse sweating.


Raise yang energy and strengthening body constitution, improve digestive health and stop excessive sweating.


  • Lamb or pig stomach 草羊肚 – one while
  • Astragalus (huang qi) 黃耆/北蓍 – 30gm
  • Wheat (fu xiao mai) 浮小麥 – 24gm
  • American Ginseng 花旗參 – 8gm
  • Longan Fruit / Arillus Longan (long yan rou) 圓肉 – 30gm
  • Ophiopogonis Radix (mai men tung) 麥冬 – 15gm

1.   Wash stomach with salt and starch for a couple of times. Put in boiling water to cook for 5 to 10 minutes. Retrieve, remove black membrane and rinse.

2.   Rinse herbs.

3.   Put all ingredients in a soup pot with about 12 cups or 3 litres of water. Bring to boil, remove foam and reduce heat to simmer for 3 hours to reduce water to about 2 cups (add boiling water to the cooking if necessary).

4.   Add salt to taste and serve by 2 servings within the same day. Eat stomach together with soup.


Repeat recipe everyday for up to 15 days as a course of treatment to achieve complete cure.
