Bok Choy & Herbs Soup


Stomach pain, indigestion, stagnation, fullness, belching.


Laxative, reduce swelling, relief fullness due to indigestion, relief stomach pain, ease stagnation.


  • Lean pork - 160gm
  • Bok choy 白菜 - 320gm
  • Hare's ear (chai hu) 柴胡 - 6gm
  • Chinese palm tree (yu li ren) 鬱李仁 - 9gm
  • Nut grass (xiang fu) 香附 - 9gm
  • White peony (bai shao) 白芍 - 12gm

1.   Wash pork, cut into large pieces and put in boiling water to cook for a few minutes, retrieve and rinse.

2.   Rinse bat choy and cut into sections. Rinse herbs.

3.   Put herbs and port in a soup pot with 8 cups of water. Bring to  boil, remove foam and reduce heat to simmer for 1 hour. Add bok choy and cook for another hour. 

4.   Add salt to serve. Drink soup and eat some bok choy.


Most suitable for young people with overeating problems.
