Japanese Persimmon Drink


Cold syndrome, stomach indigestion, yin or yang deficiency.


Control hiccups.


  • Dried Japanese persimmon 柿餅- 5
  • Sword bean 刀豆 - 20gm
  • Fresh ginger - 3 slices
  • Brown sugar - to taste

1.   Rinse and cut sword bean into small pieces.

2.   Rinse persimmon and remove top leave and cut into pieces.

3.   Put all ingredients in a soup pot with about 5 cups of water and cook for 1 hour over medium low heat to about one cup of water left.

4.   Add sugar to serve and drink soup only.


Drink whenever hiccups occur.
