Beef Congee


Weak and lack of energy, sore legs and knees.


Benefit spleen and promote energy; strengthen bones and tendons, promote production of blood.


  • Frank steak - 80gm
  • Rice - half cup
  • Five-spice powder - one pinch
  • Green onion - one (finely chopped)
  • Ginger juice - one spoon

1.   Rinse rice a couple of times and cook with about 3 to 4 cups of water on medium high heat (with lid half open to prevent boiling over) to become a porridge or congee. Stir frequently to prevent burning.

2.   Rinse beef and cut into thin alices and season with a pinch of sugar, ginger juice, salt, pepper, corn starch and little oil. .

3.   When the congee is done, add beef in and stir briefly until beef is just cooked.

4.   Add five-spice powder, salt and green onion to serve.


Eat regularly with meal.
