Peanut Chicken Feet Soup


Weaken limbs and beriberi.


Promotes blood circulation and restores normal strength and movement of legs.


  • Peanut – 1/3 cup
  • Black eye beans – 1/3 cup
  • Pig spinal bones – 200gm
  • Chicken feet - 6
  • Chinese jujube / Red Date (da zao) 大棗 – 6
  • Mandarin orange peel (chen-pi) 陳皮 – one piece (pre-soaked and with white tissue removed)
  • Garlic - 3 clover (remove skin and slice)

1.   Soak peanuts and beans for 30 minutes and rinse.

2.   Wash chicken feet and bone and put in boiling water to cook for 5 to 10 minutes. Remove and rinse.

3.   Rinse other ingredients and put all in a soup pot with about 12 cups or 3 litres of water. Bring to a boil, remove foam and reduce heat to cook over medium heat for 2 hours to about 3 cups of soup (add boiling water to the cooking if necessary).

4.   Add salt to taste and serve.


No limitation. Eat skin and soft bones around the chicken feet for their essential nutrient to strengthen bones and soft tissues in between joints. Recommended as a regular tonic for the whole family to maintain bone mass and to prevent osteoporosis and arthritis.
