Wood-ear Mushroom, Peanut and Chicken Soup

SYMPTOMS:

General weakness and lack of energy.

THERAPEUTIC EFFECTS:

Promote energy, clear stagnation and blood clot.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Wood-ear mushroom 木耳 – 30gm
  • Peanut (with red membrane) 花生 – 60gm
  • Chicken - half
  • Rice wine 米酒 – half cup

1.   Soak mushroom until fully hydrated (about 30 minutes). Remove stem and cut into slices.

2.   Soak peanut with hot water for 30 minutes and rinse.

3.   Wash chicken, remove skin and fat and chop into bit size pieces. Put chicken in boiling water to cook for a few minutes to remove blood and fat. Retrieve and rinse.

4.   Put the three ingredients in a soup pot with about 8 cups of water. Bring to a boil, remove foam and reduce heat to simmer for about 2 hours to about 2 cups of soup.

5.   Add wine and cook for another 10 minutes.

6.   Add salt to serve and eat some content with soup.

USAGE:

No limitation. Most suitable for women after child birth.
