Ling-chi Mushroom & Pork Soup




Strengthen immune function and promote general health.

INGREDIENTS: (2-4 servings)

Base Recipe:

  • Ling-chi 靈芝 60gm
  • Dried longan fruit 龍眼肉 – 30gm
  • Pork -360 gm

Add any or all of the following ingredients for better results:

  • Wild mushrooms
  • Chinese yam 淮山- 60gm
  • Sea yu ju 海肉竹 – 30gm
  • Dried lily 百合 – 30gm
  • Honey dates – 2

1.   Rinse pork and cut into large pieces. Put in boiling water to cook for 5 minutes. Remove and rinse.

2.   Soak all herbs together for about 10 to 15 minutes and rinse clean.

3.   Put all ingredients in a soup pot with about 10 to 12 cups or 3 litres of water. Bring to a boil, remove foam and reduce heat to simmer for 3 hours to reduce water to half (add boiling water to the cooking if necessary).

4.   Add salt to taste. Take one big bowl of soup per day for three days (eat some meat if desire). Keep soup in the fridge and reheat before serving (not microwaving).
