Dang Shen Beef Bone Soup


Deteriorating spleen and kidney manifested in lack of energy, sore loins and knees and weak legs, always tired.


Invigorate spleen and kidney, strengthen energy and bones, improve health and body strength.


  • Beef bone  - 2000gm or about 3 lb. (chopped)
  • Dang shen 黨參 - 40gm
  • Achyranthes (niu xi) 牛膝 - 80gm
  • Walnut - 80gm
  • Red dates 紅棗- 4
  • Ginger - 4 slices

1.   Wash bones, put in boiling water to cook for 5 minutes, remove and rinse.

2.   Put them in a stock-pot with enough water to cook for 2 to 3 hours to obtain 3 cups of broth.

3.   Rinse herbs and use the beef bone broth to cook all ingredients over medium low heat to 1.5 cup of soup left.

4.   Add salt to serve and drink soup only.


Not suitable when having damp heat syndrome (loose stool).
