Sealwort Quail Soup



Deficient blood, dizziness, unclear visions and ringing in the ears, palpitation, insomnia, pale and lack of energy.


Tonify blood and improve complexion; calming; benefits lungs and yin; strengthen body and improve vital energy.


  • Sealwort / polygonatum (huang-jing) 黃精 - 40gm
  • Quail 鵪鶉 - 4
  • Dried long-yan fruit 龍眼肉 - 20gm
  • Citrus peel 陳皮 - one small piece (pre-soaked and with white tissue removed)

1.  Cut quail into halves, remove neck and tail and rinse. Put quail in boiling water to cook for a few minutes, remove and rince.

2.  Rinse other ingredients.

3.  Pur all ingredients in a pot with 6 to 8 cups of water. Bring to a boil, remove foam and reduce heat to simmer for 3 hours to about 2 to 3 cups of soup.

4.  Add salt to serve.


Suitable for the whole family for regular health maintenance. Not suitable when having cold, flu or cough.
