Lotus Root and Pork Liver Soup


Pale and dull skin, fatigue.

  • Lotus root  蓮藕- 600gm
  • Pig liver - 80gm
  • Pitted red dates 紅棗- 10
  • Dried longan fruit 龍眼肉 - 20gm

1.   Wash lotus root and rough chop into bite size pieces.

2.   Rinse dates and longan fruit.

3.   Put the 3 ingredients in a pot with adequate water (about 3 liters) and cook with medium heat for 2 hours until about 2 cups of soup left (add boiling water to the cooking if necessary).

4.   Wash and cut liver into thin pieces and add to the cooking for a few minutes to liver is just cooked.

5.   Add seasoning to serve. Eat liver with soup.


No suitable for people with high cholesterol. Also suitable for treating anemia.
