Peanut and Pig Tail Soup


Soreness of loin and knees.


Invigorate liver and kidneys, strengthen tendons and bones, and lower blood pressure.


  • Peanut with red membrane - 120gm
  • Eucommia bark (du jung) 杜仲 - 30gm
  • Pigtail - 300gm (chopped into sections)
  • Ginger - 2 slices.

1.  Wash pigtail and remove skin with hair. Put them in boiling water to cook for 5 minutes, Remove and rinse.

2.   Rinse other ingredients. Put all in a soup pot with about 3 litres of water. Bring to a boil, remove foam and reduce heat to simmer for 2 hours to 3 cups of soup left.

3.   Add salt to serve and eat content with soup.


Take the soup twice a day and continue for 10 days as one course. Can use chestnut (320gm) instead of peanut for the same effects.
