Pork Belly and Mix Vegetables Stew


Poor digestion.


Rich in fibre promote digestion and clean out waste in the colon.

INGREDIENTS: (3 to 4 servings)

  • Round Mustard春菜 – 900gm
  • Dried small shrimp 蝦米 – 60gm
  • Pork belly meat 五花腩肉 – 240gm
  • Turnip 白蘿蔔 – 300gm
  • Dried shiitake mushroom 冬菇 – 60gm
  • Chinese celery 中芹 – 120gm
  • Garlic stem 蒜心 – 120gm

1.    Soak mustard, separate leaves from stem and rinse a few times.

2.    Wash pork, cut into big slices.

3.    Soak mushroom for an hour and cut thinly. Rinse shrimp and cut into small pieces.

4.    Cut turnip into pieces. Cut garlic stem and celery into sections.

5.    Heat up a pan or a pot with one spoon of oil. Stir-fry shrimp for 5 minutes. Add pork and stir-fry for another 8 to 10 minutes. Add 2 spoons of cooking wine.

6.    Add mushroom, celery and garlic stem and stir for 5 more minutes.

7.    Add turnip and mustard and stir-fry for another 5 minutes. Add water to cover all ingredients and turn heat to medium low to simmer for one hour.

8.   Add seasoning to serve. (Can be refridgerated to serve up to a few days).
