Hawthorn and Pork Soup


Over weight and excessive fat due to overeaten, high blood pressure and high cholesterol, headache with painful eyes.


Clear liver, move stagnant excess food, promote digestion, lower blood pressure, dissolve cholesterol deposits in lining of blood vessels, promote clear vision.


  • Lean pork - 120gm
  • Hawthorn (shan zha) 山楂 - 40gm
  • Sickle senna (jue ming zi) 決明子 - 40gm

1.   Rinse pork and cut into thin slices.

2.   Rinse other ingredients and put all in a pot with about 6 cups of water. Bring to a boil and lower heat to simmer for two hours to make about one cup of soup.

3.   Drink soup only.


Not suitable for people with ulcer.
