Bitter Melon and Pork Rib Soup


Summer-heat syndrome with red and itchy eyes, itchy skins, loose stool or constipation, irritability.


Relieve summer heat and clear away toxic materials, clean intestines of damp heat.


  • Bitter melon - 2
  • Soybean - 40gm
  • Pork ribs - 600gm
  • Preserved sour vegetable head - half (optional)

1.     Presoak soybean for 2 hours and rinse.

2.     Split and seed bitter melon, rinse and cut into big pieces.

3.     Wash pork ribs, cut into pieces and put in bowling water to rinse for a couple of minutes, retrieve and drain.

4.     Rinse sour vegetable a few times and cut into pieces.

5.     Put all ingredients in a pot with adequate water (2.5 liters) and cook for one to two hours over medium heat to about 3 cups of soup left.

6.     Add salt to serve. Eat content with soup.


Take with meal and is suitable for the whole family.
