Water Squash Tea




Relieve internal heat, diuretic and anti-inflammatory.


  • Japanese Honeysuckle (jin yin hua) 金銀花 – 15gm
  • Imperatae Rhizoma (bai mao gen) 茅根 – 15gm
  • Medulla Tetrapanacis 白通草 – 6gm
  • Water squash 水瓜 – 240gm

1.   Wash water squash and remove skin, and rough cut into smaller pieces.

2.   Rinse herbs and put all ingredients in a soup pot with about 3 litres of water.

3.   Bring to a boil and lower heat to medium to cook for an hour.

4.   Strain and drink water only as tea.


Take this detoxification tea a few times throughout the summer months (starting from early summer to late summer) to balance summer heat. No restriction.
