Chrysanthemum with Red Date Porridge





Beneficial for spleen, blood, liver and eyes. Taking this porridge frequently can prevent aging and illness.


  • Chinese Jujube (Red Date) / Zizyphi Fructus (da zao) 大棗-50 gm,
  • Chrysanthemum (ju hua) 菊花 - 15 gm
  • Rice - 50 gm
  • Sugar – to taste

 1.   Rinse and put all ingredients in a pot with about 2 to 3 cups of water. Bring to boil and reduce heat to medium and cook until it becomes a thick porridge.

2.   Add some red sugar to taste.
