Enriching Blood & Beauty Porridge





Enrich blood, regulate menstruation and promote beauty.

INGREDIENTS: ( 2 to 3 servings)

  • Hemlock Parsley / Ligusticum (chuan xiong) 川芎 – 12 gm
  • Angelica Sinensis (dang gui) 當歸 – 18 gm
  • Safflower / Carthamus tinctorius (hong hua) 紅花 – 6 gm
  • Astragalus / Astragali Radix (huang qi) 黃耆 – 12 gm
  • Chicken - half
  • Rice – 100 gm
  • Ginger – 2 slices (finely cut)
  • Green onion – 2 (finely cut)

1.   Soak rice with water and put aside.

2.   Remove skin of chicken and cut into quarters. Put chicken in boiling water to boil for about 5 minutes, remove and rinse.

2.   Put all herbs in a herb bag and cook with chicken in about 3 liters of water for one to two hours to make chicken soup.

3.   Remove herb bag. Add rice to cook for another 30 minutes to turn soup into a thick porridge.

4.   Add salt, ginger and onion and serve.


Take once a day for 15 days as one course of treatment.
