Red and Green Beans with Lily Bulb Soup



Blood-heat syndrome manifested in pimples, coarse skin, restlessness, losing sleep, and difficulties in urination.


Improve blood circulation, clear toxins and dampness, and cool blood. 


  • Mung bean 綠豆 – 30gm
  • Little red bean 赤小豆 – 30gm
  • Lily bulb (bai he) 百合 – 30gm
  • Lean pork – 160gm

 1.   Wash pork, cut into large pieces and put in boiling water to boil for a few minutes, remove and rinse.

2.   Soak beans for 2 hours and rinse. Rinse lily.

3.   Put all ingredients in a soup pot with about 6 to 8 cups of water. Bring to a boil and cook over medium heat for one hour.

4.   Add a little salt to serve. Eat some content with soup.


Suitable for all seasons but is a must for summer months.
