Dried Lily Flower and Chicken Soup



Anemia with pale face, insomnia, hypertension and poor blood circulation.


Lower blood pressure and cholesterol, invigorates blood, calm nerve and prevent blood clot.


  • Dried lily flower 金針菜 – 30gm
  • Dried shiitake mushroom 冬菇 – 5 or 6
  • Wood-ear mushroom 木耳 – 30gm
  • Chicken breast – 160 gm
  • Green Onion – one (finely cut)

1.   Wash chicken, remove skin and fat and cut into thin slices. Slightly seasoned and put aside.

2.   Soak mushrooms and lily flower until become soft and rinse clean. Finely cut both mushrooms into slices.

3.   Put mushrooms and lily flower with 4 cups of water and cook over medium heat for 30 minutes.

4.   Add chicken and cook for another 5 to 10 minutes.

5.   Add seasoning and green onion to soup and serve.


Eat with meal and is suitable to serve all year round. It should not be taken when having cold, flu or fever.
