Siberian mother-wort and Eel Soup



Menstrual disorder, irregular white and brown discharge, cervix uteri carcinoma, reproductive organ related cancer.


Strengthen body, promote blood circulation to remove blood stasis, clear away toxic materials.

INGREDIENTS:  (2 servings)

  • Siberian mother-wort (yi mu cao) 益母草 - 40gm
  • Fresh eel 大鱔- 320gm
  • Chinese Cornbind (Ho-shu-wu) 何首烏  - 80gm
  • Foxnut (qian shi) 芡實 - 40gm

1.   Put yi mu cao in a fish bag.

2.   Rinse other two herbs.

3.   Put all herbs in a soup pot with 8 cups of water and let the herbs soak up water for half an hour.

4.   Wash fish with salt, rinse and put in boiling water to cook for a few minutes. Remove and clean out white film on the skin and cut into big sections.

5.  Put fish into the soup pot and bring to a boil.

6.  Reduce to medium low heat and simmer for 2 hours to about 3 cups of soup left. Add hot water to cooking if necessary.

7.  Remove the herb bag and add seasoning to serve.


Eat fish and soup with meal.
