Ginger Chicken Soup


Always cold hands and feet.


Expel cold and wind and promote blood for people with cold constitution.


  • Old ginger root - 150gm
  • Chicken – one whole

1.   Remove chicken skin and cut into quarters. Remove obvious fat and put chicken in boiling water to cook for 5 minutes. Remove and rinse.

2.   Remove skin of ginger and cut into thick slices.

3.   Put all ingredients in a soup pot with about 10 cups or 2.5 litres of water. Bring to boil, remove foam and reduce heat and let it simmer for 3 hours to reduce water to half (add boiling water to the cooking if necessary).

4.   Add salt to taste. Take one big bowl of soup per day for three days (eat some meat if desire). Keep soup in the fridge and reheat before serving (not microwaving).  


Not suitable when having cold.
