Eight Treasures Dessert




Benefit yin and lung, moisturizing and strengthening, neutral and enriching. It can be taken all year round but especially good for fall season to moisturize skin and respiratory system.  


  • Sago (xigumi) 大粒西谷米 – 15gm
  • Snow-ear mushroom 雪耳 – 10gm
  • Banana – one
  • Apple – one
  • Ginkgo 白果 – 20gm
  • Honey dates – 2
  • Pigeon egg – 2
  • Sugar – to taste
  • Corn starch – 2 tea spoons

1.   Soak snow-ear mushroom until soft and separate into small pieces.

2.   Boil 2 cups of water. Put in sago and cook over medium heat until becoming clear in color and put aside.

3.   Cook another 4 cups of water and put in mushroom, gingko and honey dates and cook for 20 minutes.

4.   Peel and cut apple into small cubes and add to the cooking for 1 minute. Break eggs and add to the cooking for 2 minutes. Remove white foam.

5.   Strain sago and add to the cooking. Add sugar.

6.   Cut banana into small cubes and put in to cook for 1 minute.  Mix corn starch with some water and add in for one minute and is done.
