Wood-ear and American Ginseng Soup

SYMPTOMS:

Abnormal internal organ functions causing yin and blood deficiency resulting in excessive internal heat trap in the big intestine and forcing blood to flow abnormally. 

Small quantity of blood found in stool in pale red color (once or twice a day), dry mouth and throat, lack of energy, underweight, red tongue, week pulse but with high heart beat rate, hot in the middle of palms showing internal unrest.

THERAPEUTIC EFFECTS:

Cool blood and stop internal bleeding, tonify yin and promote internal fluid, benefit digestion. 

INGREDIENTS:

  • Wood-ear mushroom 木耳 - 80gm
  • Longan fruit 龍眼肉 - 20gm
  • American ginseng 花旗參 (thinly sliced) - 15gm

1.   Use warm water to soak mushroom for about one hour or until soft. Rinse well to remove sand and dirt, and shred thinly.

2.   Rinse ginseng and longan fruit.

3.   Put all ingredients in a pot with 5 cups of water. Bring to a boil and lower heat to simmer for 1 hour to 2 cup of soup. Finish in one or two servings within a day.

USAGE:

Take continuously for five days to see result. This recipe is not suitable if blood in stool is bright red in color, mouth has bitter taste and there is thick yellow sputum.
